Dean's POV

I thought Colin was not much of a man. He ran out like a crying baby, threatening to break off the engagement. He will return because he cannot live without Valerie's support and money. I know guys like him. They will only put up a show to show a woman that he does not need them, knowing very well he can not do without her. He's putting on his show to show Valerie that he can live without her. Colin hoped Valerie would beg him to stay and realize she loved him. He is trying to blackmail her emotionally.

I do not have respect for men like that. Did Colin think that a woman like Valerie would beg him to stay? Weaker women like Hannah might do something like that, but not Valerie Bell.
