I don’t know how far Jake got. I don’t even know where he lives. But my “suggestion” to walk home should have worn off within twenty minutes of breaking eye contact with me. The longest it can go is an hour. Once it wears off, the victim tends to forget what happened and why they’re where they are at.
I slowly drove around, reaching out to any hint of a brain. I found several animals whose thoughts I couldn’t understand. It was all gibberish. I finally landed on a sole human brain wave.
‘Where the f**k am I?!’ The sound of that douchebag’s muck grimed brain reached out to me. I push my accelerator, speeding up slightly to catch up to him. He got pretty far for the small amount of time he was out here. I drove slowly up on the man as he turned, waving. His expression dropped as I pulled up next to him.
“I thought you were a car. I can’t get a ride on... that thing.” He rolled his eyes as he looked at me. He really didn’t recognize the man who just manhandled him? I pulled over off the road, throwing down my stand and removing my helmet. He balled his fists up in anger as he attempted to charge me. He moved so f*****g slowly, I had time to shut my bike off, place my helmet down and get off my vehicle before he ever reached me. Naa, who am I kidding? I just move that fast.
I snatched his wrist, bending it back until it snapped. He fell to the floor, screaming.
“JESUS f**k! YOU CAN HAVE HER!’ He cradled his wrist as tears welled in his eyes.
“Oh?” I c****d my head slightly as I crouched next to the wailing man. I grabbed his chin; he tried to rip his face out of my hand. I pinched tighter as he winced, locking my eyes with his.
“Get on the bike.” His expression dropped; eyes went blank as he hauled himself up. I only have about ten minutes before this wears off. The more you use it on a singular person without breaks, the more resistant they become. He hopped on the back of my seat as I went and hopped on the front. I grabbed his arms, steering with one as I headed back to my house.
The effects started wearing off as I neared my home. I heard him groan as he struggled against my grip. I quickly pulled into my garage, flinging him off my bike as I closed the garage door.
“What the...” I stopped him from talking as I grabbed him by the cheeks with one hand, pushing his mouth together as he tried to pry away from my grip. I lifted him, carrying him in that position until I entered my house. I flung him on the floor as he rolled over, trying to get up.
“Dude...” He spat out as he groaned in pain. “She ain’t worth it. You can get better tail elsewhere!” I snarled at his words, and with a quick kick to his knee, I ended this pathetic ass’s football career. The sweet sound of his knee cap shattering sent chills over my body. He screamed as I rolled him onto his back.
“She is worth it. She’s worth EVERYTHING.” I hissed as I grabbed him by his ankle, dragging him to my basement stairs. With a flick of my wrist, his body went flying down the stairs. He must have hit his head because he was silent once he landed. Oh, come on! Don’t be dead already.
I waltzed down the stairs, halting at the last step. Yea, the fuckers alive, his hearts still beating. I grabbed him by the back of his shirt, dragging him to a chair. I plopped his limp body as blood dripped from his forehead.
“Not even worthy of being my meal,” I spat at him as I grabbed some rope, tying him up. Brushing my hands off against each other, I turned, heading back upstairs to grab some food.
I opened my fridge, grabbing whatever pack was in front of me. I opened the drawer, pulling out a straw and sticking it into my meal. I leaned on the counter as I slowly drank, making a disgusted face. Not Poppy, will never be Poppy. I flung my head back in frustration, then continued to drink. My phone went off, alerting me to a notification.
“Ello?! Mr. Locke?! Where ya at?”- Raz
“You’re lacking on this mission, what’s wrong?”- Marion
“Big boss is bringing us down there, you went radio silent, we’re all worried.”- Avry
Ugh! I crumpled up the pack, tossing it into the trash.
“A side project came up. I’ll get this done in the next couple of days. Please stand by.”- D
I hit send, sucking my teeth, as I hoped that was enough to stop them from bothering me. I folded my arms, tapping my finger on my arm. I need to figure out how to talk to Poppy about what I am... I quickly turned, heading back downstairs. I hopped on over to the tv set up I had. I had some time to kill with Jake knocked out. What better way to spend it researching how to tell a girl you like you’re a vampire?
I sat there... two hours and ten minutes of... of... I don’t even know what to call it. I don’t even know why I chose to watch... that sparkling, cringe, emo wannabe sitcom! Ugh! I stood up, shaking the feeling of disgust off me. Only thing they got right was us staying in groups and a possible soul bond.
I strode up to Jake, taking his chin in my hand as I moved his face back and forth. He should have been awake by now. I pulled my hand back, slapping him. Nothing. I squatted in front of him, trying to bore into his mind. Blank? Hmm... f**k! I bolted upwards as my eyes widened.
I think he might be comatose. Or this big oaf really has nothing going on in his head. Either way, I need to dump him somewhere before my comrades show up. Ah, man! I wanted to torture this guy. Can I still do so with him unconscious? Na, not as much fun.
Mumbling profanities from my stupidity of just throwing this man down my steps, I untied the asshole, grabbing him and throwing him over my shoulder. I’ll go dump him somewhere on the side of the road. Someone will drive by and think he was hit. Or better yet, the man dies the death he deserves.
I don’t know why I chose to drop this jerk wad on the side of the highway. I honestly should have just killed him, but the chances of him waking up are pretty slim. I walked down the pavement, while whistling ‘Supermassive black hole’ as I chucked him in a ditch. I didn’t like the movie, but the tunes were catchy.
I brushed my hands off, turning to head home. I took my time walking, occasionally dipping behind a tree to avoid being seen. I used a good amount of energy to get here, so I figured I’d enjoy a nice night stroll. It was 1:00 am by the time I got back to my section of town. I pulled out a cigarette, lit it up as I made my way back to Poppy’s place. I need to sneak a peek at her thoughts to un-muck my mind from the movie and Jake.
I stood in the camera blind spot, smoking my cigarette and looking up at her window. I took a long drag as I closed my eyes, focusing on her room. My jaw snatched shut as her dream wrapped its way around my mind.
I stood there as she was writhing underneath me, my fingers in her, as she moaned, panting and sweating. Leaning my head back, I took in the sweet vivid imagery as I dropped my cigarette, stomping it out. I snapped my head forward as my chest rapidly rose, my groin pressing against my zipper. Damn this girl... I ended up taking care of myself right there. I couldn’t take it anymore.
I leaned forward, huffing, as I wiped my hand on a tree after finishing. Damn it, I want more. I NEED more. At this rate, I’m going to break her when I do get her. I scoffed, turning and heading back to my place. I’ll come up with an excuse to come back tomorrow. I halted as a thought crossed my mind. I sucked my teeth as I silently went to her door, unlocking it and entering it.
Jess was snoring on the couch, rattling the silence. I snuck over to her small utility closet that was on the other end of where Jess was sleeping. I flipped it open, turning the gas valve to off. I closed everything back up and snuck my way back out.
I made it back home in no time, heading to the restroom to clean up. I washed my hands, then splashed water on my face. I felt my chest tighten as Poppy kept filling my head. Ugh! I gripped my bathroom sink too hard, shattering the edges. f**k!
