Damian
f*****g HELL! I drank six packs of blood and ended up throwing it all up because of that damn food I forced myself to eat. To make matters worse, she tasted so much better than I anticipated. Then she even came out to check on me! Damn it! I didn’t want to leave, but I couldn’t have her see what I threw up yet. It was like a damn murder scene; she’d think I was dying of cancer. Not a very good time to say “Oh na, I’m good. I’m just your stalker VAMPIRE!”
I paced my living room as Raz sat there, judging me for just bailing and leaving her.
“WHAT!?” I hissed at him as an ambulance pulled up. He shook his head as he tsked at me.
“You are going to expose us all if you don’t get this under control.” He spun around in his chair, whistling. “She can know because you two are bonded, but no one else can!” he said in a singsong voice.
“I really just wanna rip your vocal cords out right now...” I mumbled as I peeked out of the window. The EMTs were checking her out as Jess sat next to her. What was I supposed to do? Let her get run over because she seems to attract all the bad luck in the world?
“You need to hurry up and bite her, then feed her your blood so you two can get on with your lives.” He stopped spinning and leaned on his arm, looking at me. He was right, but that also involves completely ripping her world apart, coming clean about being her stalker and flinging her into the world of the supernatural.
“I mean, go ahead, go feral. Just know I’ll be the one killing ya!” He giggled as I flung my head backwards in frustration. Raz tapped his fingers on the counter as he stared at me.
“Let’s go check out Tanzen? Do some recon before the New Year’s Eve Party?’ he slid his thought at me. I shot him a look, glaring at him as he put his hands up pleadingly.
“Fine, it’ll be better than me staying here... focusing on her.” I looked back out the window as Jess drove off with Poppy. I turned away from the window, striding to the staircase and heading upstairs to get my hoodie and mask. Ok, just my mask, my hoodie is gone, where did I leave it? I shrugged, opening my closet and grabbing a new sweater.
“Taking the bike, or are we running, Raz?” I asked as I came back down the stairs. He stretched, then grabbed his pack.
“Running is faster. We can avoid traffic that way, plus I think the distraction is needed.” He pointed upwards as he grinned. I sighed, tucking my mask in my pocket. We exited the house, looking around before Raz took a runner’s pose.
“Bet cha I can get there faster than you...” He licked his lips as I shot him a devious grin.
“Bet.”
We ran through the forest at such speed even a speed radar probably couldn’t clock us. I took the high ground, jumping from branch to branch as Raz zipped around trunks. I landed in front of him as he flipped around me, taking the lead. We arrived at the city limit of Seattle in no time.
“Woo-hoo! That was exhilarating!” Raz hollered as we landed at the edge of the off ramp. I ran my hands through my hair, sucking my teeth as I scanned the area. Cars were passing by, but no one was paying attention to us. With the coast clear, we did one last zip and were within the city.
Despite it being Christmas Eve, the streets were bustling. As we approached Tanzen, the line was crazily wrapped around the corner. I slipped my mask on as Raz pulled his out of his pack, sliding it on. My eyes darted over to “The Little Bunny”.
“Hey, what’s our intel on that?” I pointed at the shady men going into the establishment.
“I believe it’s said that they use their powers of persuasion on the girls from Tanzen and then get them over there. They then trap them in there and use them as personal feeding bags,” Raz replied, as he scratched his chin. “But that’s why we’re here. We need more proof.” He peeked his head out over the curb to see if the coast was clear for him to cross.
“Hey, there’s two of us. Let me check out The Little Bunny. You check out Tanzen, ya?” I turned, heading towards the s*x club. Raz grabbed my arm.
“Not a good idea, Damian. You’re REALLY unpredictable right now.”
“I’m fine. It’ll cut our work down. Go.” I ripped my arm out of his grasp as he sighed, then went to stand in line at Tanzen.
I strode up to The Little Bunny. I felt an ick crawl up my legs as I shook off the uncomfortable feeling. The bouncer at the front saw my mask, nodded and let me through. As I stepped in, my nostrils were attacked with the most horrendous smells, causing me to stumble and lean on the wall. A young woman walked up to me in nothing but heels, her t**s bouncing as she wrapped her arm around mine.
“Welcome! Please put this on!” She handed me a different mask; this one was designed to look like a wolf. I groaned, pulling mine off and replacing it with the one she gave me. I glanced down at her arms, she was covered in fresh bite marks. I gritted my teeth as she guided me to the back.
“Will you be hunting tonight...” she asked seductively as she showed me the rooms to the left of the women being bitten. “Or will you be playing with your prey tonight?” She stood on her tippy toes, pressing her bare chest into my arm as she planted a peck on my cheek. She dropped back down, showing me the rooms on the right, which were full of moaning women as they were getting railed by men and women.
I shivered as Poppy slipped into my mind. Not now! I cleared my throat as I very dryly responded, “Dining.” f**k, I haven’t had blood from the natural source in a WHILE. Still, it’s a better option than sticking my d**k in someone other than Poppy. She giggled, wrapping her arm around me again.
‘Please someone help me’, her thought hit my mind as I ground my teeth. All the women’s thoughts were screaming at me. I tried my best to ignore it, but the intensity of their fear bore into my mind.
The young woman sat me down in a chair and handed me a laminated menu with prices. That’s messed up. I ran my finger down the menu, pausing to look up at her.
“What’s your name, darlin?” I asked, as she flinched.
‘Sarah! Tell him SARAH!’ her thought yelled at me. “I’m Cherry!” She extended her hand to me. I took it in mine, pulling her into me. She yelped as she landed on my lap. I moved my mouth next to her ear as her body trembled.
“Pick for me. Whoever you pick, I promise, I will do my best to get you both out of here and to safety.” I released her as her mouth fell open. I moved my index finger up to my lips, hushing her, then gestured her to go. She snapped her mouth shut as she turned and left.
I closed my eyes, focusing on the rampant thoughts around me. Let’s see... It appears there are twenty girls here and ten vampires. The bodyguards are human... I tilted my head slightly to the right. I can’t pick up on anyone who runs this place. My eyes snapped open as I heard that God awful familiar thought train of the man who had his filthy paws all over Poppy.
I shoved off the seat I was in, stalking forward and following it. I ended up on the playing side, as my eyes fell on Darren, having a young... red-headed woman bouncing on his lap. I ground my teeth together. The girl had a resemblance of Poppy.
“Ya wanna watch?’ He peeked over her shoulder as the moans hit my ears. He grabbed the girl, picking her up off his d**k and flipping her to face me. I clenched my fists as her body was covered in bruises and bites. My throat dried up; my tongue darted out between my lips as my thirst clawed at me.
“No, sorry, got lost,” I responded as I turned.
‘H-Help... p-please, it hurts!’ the woman’s thought hit me like a truck. I slowly turned, looking at Darren.
“H-How much?” I asked him as he sunk his teeth into her, keeping eye contact with me.
“Tell ya what...” He grunted, thrusting into her. “I’ll finish up here and send her to you as a sample. You seem new, we like to.... Treat our new customers.” He grinned evilly as I scoffed, turning and heading back to my room.
I sat there, staring at the door, drumming my fingers on my knee as Cherry came around the corner. She brought another girl with long black hair and brown skin. My eyes darted to the two. They looked terrified.
‘Sorry mister, they made me...’ her thought slipped into my head. I sighed, figured they’d tell someone. Not their fault. They’re under the allure of these assholes. Vampires are designed to lure you in. With their smell, charms, looks, and persuasion. The longer you’re around them, the more control they have over you without their powers.
Two husky dudes walked up behind the girls, accompanied by Darren and the redhead. He tossed her at me. I grabbed her, holding onto her as she sobbed.
“So, you offered to take these girls out of here?” He zipped his pants up as he sucked his teeth. I rolled my eyes. What. A. Douche. I took the girl in my arms, turning and setting her on the chair. I froze as my hands were covered in blood. Just... focus... I closed my eyes as I turned around to face Darren. I ripped this ridiculous mask off, staring at him.
“Oh! You’re the vampire hunter everyone talks about. You took out the operation upstate, single-handedly!” He chuckled as he leaned against the doorway. I stuffed my hands in my pockets as I sighed.
“You... look awfully thirsty.” He leaned towards me, his eyes flashing ruthlessly at me. Before I could even react, he grabbed Cherry, biting her throat and ripping it out with his teeth. The blood spurting as her voice gurgled had me stuck, staring. The thoughts of everyone circling my mind, morphing into that static as all I could focus on, was the fountain of blood.
The girl next to Cherry tried to scream and move away as the woman behind me whimpered. Darren tossed Cherry at me as he grabbed the other girl, placing his hands on her abdomen and ripping her open effortlessly.
“We can’t keep traitors here.” He growled as she dropped to the floor. “And now you owe us for two new girls.” He grinned as he took a step toward me.
