Poppy
I have never fawned over a man so hard as I have with Damian. I mean, when I first saw Jake, I did, but that was when I was a teenager. I sucked on my bottom lip as I stared at his ass while he was bent over. ‘Ugh, Poppy stop staring at his ass!’
He stood up as a slight chuckle escaped his lips. He turned, facing me as I raised a brow at him.
“Um... water Mr. Locke?” I questioned as I went for the cabinet, opening it and grabbing a glass for myself. Before I knew it, he was towering above me. I clutched the glass close to my chest as my breathing started to become panicked. Please don’t do anything... I’m one touch from throwing it all away.
He leaned down, his face inches from mine as he grabbed my chin, tilting my head up. My upper lip barely brushed against his bottom one as I held my breath.
“Mmm... didn’t I tell you?” He vibrated the words out of his throat, causing my core to quake. He leaned past me, to my ear as I expected his breath to slide across my skin, but oddly... I felt nothing.
“You can call me Damian.” He nipped my earlobe, causing me to whimper. I lost my composer and ended up dropping my glass on the floor. Shards flew as I ended up jumping onto the counter to avoid them.
He stood there, placing his hands on the counter and leaning more towards me as I sat there. My chest heaved up and down as he sucked his teeth, running his eyes over me. The glass crunched from his shift in weight as he ran his fingers up my shin, to my knee.
“You’re so clumsy mic rosu,” his fingers ran over my bandaged knee, causing me to wince. His eyes darted to my face when I sucked air through my teeth.
“Um, D-Damian...” I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to say. My mind was going blank as he dragged his fingers up to my thigh. He stopped, clutching me, and pulled me to the edge of the counter. Jesus, he’s strong!
“W-why are you... so keen on...” I panted out as his gaze bore into me.
“Keen on- what?” He leaned in, his nose brushing against mine, causing me to part my lips. My mouth wanted to try his, oh so badly. I felt my breathing increase as his hand slid under the rim of my shirt.
“I-I... can’t, Mr. Locke.” I placed my hands firmly on his shoulders, pushing him. My eyes widened, as he didn’t even budge to my attempt. I know I’m weak, but shouldn’t he have at least swayed? I gasped as his hand shot up from under my shirt to my jaw. He firmly held my face, causing tears to well in the corner of my eyes.
“What did I say?” He said, without skipping a beat. His brilliant blue eyes were bright as they stared at me. My hands shot up to his forearm, grasping it firmly as I looked at him pleadingly. I knew I was supposed to be afraid of this situation. I knew this wasn’t ok, but God, it felt so good. The fear spreading through my core, the uncertainty of the situation set my loins on fire. Now I defiantly knew why I stayed with Jake.
He grunted, releasing my chin as he took a step back. His expression went from a sexy, dominant man who knew what he wanted to anger. I sighed as I went to hop off the counter.
“i***t!” He hissed as he grabbed me, picking me up and moving me effortlessly to the opposite side. Shock washed over my face as he plopped me down. He started speaking a different language as he paced back and forth.
“You-You...” He halted, pointing a finger at me, baring his teeth. “Ugh, I don’t know what to do with you.” He turned, heading to the small closet next to the stairs. He opened it, pulling out the broom and dustpan, then proceeded to clean up the glass as he mumbled.
I sat there, blinking out of confusion. How did I forget about that? He emptied the shards into the trash can be next to the counter, placing the broom down. He then strode towards me, picking me up again and placing me on the floor. It was like my body stopped working around this man!
“Thank you!” I finally willed myself to say as I took a step backwards to gain some distance from him. His eyes darkened as he lowered his head. A low growl emitted from his throat, causing me to freeze. He snapped his head up, his demeanor changed again. This time, he flung his hand over his mouth as he turned and stormed out of the house. I raised a brow as my eyes watched him leave.
That was odd. Why did he just change his mind? I looked around the now empty guest house. He paced back and forth outside by my mother’s house, throwing his arms out. Ok, Poppy seems to like the crazies. And now I’m talking to myself in the third person. I rolled my eyes as my bladder tightened. Nature calls.
I sat on my toilet, sighing as I saw my new pair of white panties stained with red. Great. But that explains why I was acting so crazy! I always get super frisky around the time I start my period. I opened up my tampon box, cleaned up, and finished in the bathroom. I grabbed a new pair of undies, stepping into them, then grabbed a pair of sweats, slipping them on.
I headed back down the stairs, my heart pounding in my ears as I rounded the corner. Everything was gone except his hoodie. A ping rang out from my phone that sat on the couch. I slowly stepped towards the discarded sweater, lying on the floor. I finally went to it, picking it up and clutching it in my hands as that exotic woodsy smell snuck its way into my nostrils. No, you can’t wear it or steal it, you just met the man! I flung it on the kitchen counter as I headed towards the couch.
I sat there, scrolling as the heater kicked in, wrapping me in a slow, rising heat. I groaned as my cramps hit me. Ugh, I hate this. I opened my texts, noticing a message from Jake’s dad.
“Jake isn’t answering his phone, what’s going on?”- Mr. Daves
“I don’t know, last I saw him was last night.”- Poppy
I sent my reply, closing my texts and resuming my first watch through of 30 Days of Night. I decided I’d binge all the movies I was interested in but too afraid to watch. Stupid Jake, always telling me I’m a scaredy cat and I couldn’t do this or that. I was even stupider for listening to him.
I heard my door open, causing me to jump. It was Jess. She had a bunch of bags from the store. Setting them on the counter, she started pulling some items out. She pulled out a cute red sweater dress, holding it up.
“Cute!” I responded as I set my phone down.
“Glad you like it. It’s for you!” She tossed it to me. I caught it, flipping it over in my hands. It went up into a turtleneck and had a keyhole opening in the front. I looked at her oddly.
“Your mom caught Mr. Locke before he left and asked him to come to tomorrow's party!” Jess clapped her hands together as I dropped the dress on the floor, my jaw dropping.
“Oh, calm down! You’ll be fine, I’ll be there,” Jess scoffed as she pulled out the other items and started putting them away.
“It’s not that... it’s the fact it’s a party in a bookstore.” I leaned back, folding my arms. Jess giggled.
“I agree with you there, but drinks are involved, so that’ll make it better!” We both laughed together. I was nervous about spending time with Damian outside of the comfort of my home, but it was bound to happen. I chewed on the inside of my cheek as my mind started to psyche me out, telling me he wasn’t interested in me. That I was just giving off easy access vibes. I sighed, picking my phone up and continuing my video to avoid those thoughts.
