Chapter Twenty Three

Arlo Pov

I am so overwhelmed with excitement as Amber snaps her fingers. Everyone blinks and Amber disappears. I rush towards Nova just as she looks at me. She begins to smile before her eyes rolls back. I reach out and catch her just before she hits the floor.

“Nova,” I shake her shoulders, she is unresponsive.

“Arlo,” Em calls and I turn with a gasp. Everyone has fainted. Well, everyone under the spell.

Myself and Em look towards Reggie. He is sat at the table still eating his food.

“That s**t was weird,” Reggie says with a shrug. “When will they get up?”

“I don’t know Reggie,” I look around at them all. “Em go grab some blankets and pillows. We won’t be able to move them all but we can make them comfortable.”

“Come on Reggie,” Em says and he follows her with a wolfish smile.

I look down at Nova……
