Emerald Pov

I look around at everyone and choke on a laugh as no one else is laughing. Wait. No one else is laughing. Nova just made a really good joke. She said Elijah and Ethan will be beta. That was funny.

‘Apparently not’ Jamie states the obvious.

I am just getting over my half choked laugh when she continues speaking.

‘Mate’ ‘emerald’ ‘alongside’

What?! What?! What?!

She did not just announce to the entire pack that Elijah and Ethan are my mates.

‘You look like a goldfish’ Jamie laughs at me.

I snap my gaping mouth shut as I turn my fury on Arlo. He put Nova up to this.

“Please welcome Emerald, Elijah and Ethan to the front with us.” Arlo announces with a massive grin on his face.

‘I bet you can’t wait to knock that grin off his face’ Jamie is still chuckling at me.
