My scream rang throughout the house, bouncing off walls and running down the hallway. Everyone woke with a startling jump. I heard their feet running across the floor making their way toward me. I was frozen with fear, and when my Mom and Step-mom turned around he was gone.
“D-D-D-Dean!” I stammered and pointed towards the window. They turned their heads and no one was there. I could not believe it, one minute there and gone the next. Did I see something that wasn’t there or was there someone, my mind was racing as fear ran it course.
Three knocks followed behind my scream and we all jumped letting out a small shriek. The knocking continued until Francis opened the door, there he stood looking rather monstrous. He stepped in and I cowered behind my Dad.
Francis was standing there alone……
