We decided to leave Lucas locked in the car, just in case he was feeling too murderous when he woke up. And by we, I mean Nico, Theo, and I. Matteo had been against it, but we overruled him three to one.
Shivering, I scanned the area for where Alex could be. The warehouse had a curved roof like an aircraft hanger, and the walls were corrugated tin. It was massive, cold, and empty. Just like in the horror movies.
I shivered again.
Wordlessly, Matteo slid his jacket off and draped it over my shoulders. I put my arms into the sleeves and snuggled into it. I told myself it was only due to the cold.
Not because it smelled like Matteo or anything.
Psht. Of course not.
If it hadn’t been this cold, I would’ve thrown it right back in his face.
