I rejected yet another one of Matteo’s calls.
“This is like his fourth time calling,” Amy muttered from beside me. “He just doesn’t give up, does he?”
“Poor boy’s whipped,” Val added sympathetically, sitting on my other side.
There was a laptop on my lap, and a fort of blankets around us. After I’d told Val that I wasn’t going to the party, she hadn’t batted an eye, declaring that “we didn’t need to party with no mobsters to have fun.” Instead, it had turned into a girls’ movie night with her and Amy.
While initially I’d thought it would be a bit awkward, considering the two of them broke up recently, they were both completely at ease. I guess some exes really can stay friends.
I snorted. “Yeah, he’s so whipped he can’t keep his d in his pants.”
A loud knoc……
