Author’s Note – Chapter 9
Not every disappearance requires a decision.
Sometimes, simply reducing the level of visibility is enough.
This chapter isn’t about erasure.
It’s about a more subtle mechanism:when people are still there, but the system no longer feels the need to respond.
No one gives orders.
No one takes responsibility.
There’s only an invisible threshold —and anyone who falls below that threshold begins to fade.
The question is:if already faded,is there any way back to being “seen”?
