The doctor frowns.

“ Can I see Jenner? I would like to talk to her. That’s if she is awake.”

“ She is awake, and yes, of course, we moved her to a different room where she is healing.” The doc responds.

“What about the baby?”

“ She is in the newborn nursery room.”

“That's good,” I respond. 

“Take me to see the baby while Luna Kali talks to Jenner,” August demands in his authoritative voice, and I avoid rolling my eyes.

The doc leads the way, and she shows me the room where Jenner is, and then she leads August to where the newborns are kept.

The room is brightly lit and the walls are colorful, too colors for a recovery room.

She is seated upright as she rests her back against the mattress of the hospital bed.
