The sound of my laughter fills up the room. I clasp my hands in front of me as I stare at Asher, who embarrasses himself in front of me. Asher’s gray eyes take me in and I stare down at him for a moment. 

“Sadly, it came to this, but you have the worst heart, Asher. I am so glad I saw your true colors earlier.” I calmly tell him. 

I circle his chair slowly, the sound of my heels clicking on the floor. I stop behind his chair, lean close to his ear, and whisper, “Evil people like you deserve to be punished for your crimes. You thought the council would protect you, look at you now all alone while you stink like shit.” 

His body shudders and an evil smirk stretches on my lips. I stand to my full height and take one step at a time until I stand in front of him.
