“No! No! That can’t be; there has to be another way!”

Knox and I stop into the ICU. 

“ No, please, doc, do something!"Joseph shouts. 

“ I am sorry, but there is nothing that can be done. Your condition is permanent." The female doc replies to him. 

Joseph sighs heavily and remains quiet. 

“ Alpha Knox,” 

Joseph inches up from the bed. 

“ Doc, we came to check up on the previous Alpha,” Knox announces. 

“ How come you are the alpha and not Asher?” Joseph asks and I scoff. 

“ Cause Asher was a prick, scum that needed to be taken care of.” I answer and he glares at me. 

The closer we get to his bed, the more I observe something, the lower half of his body is so still. For someone who is moving their upper body a lot, it’s odd that their lower body isn’t doing anything, not even a single movement.
