The eight million dollar necklace is the perfect symbol of her pharmaceutical empire fortune, and Alexander’s recognition of it reveals just how thoroughly his family has been investigating her background. The contrast between Nick and Roni’s relationship drama and Isabella and Alexander’s charged waltz shows how different their romantic dynamics have become. Alexander’s final question—“what are you going to do about it?“—sets up perfectly for Arc 3, where all the careful deceptions and hidden identities will finally be exposed completely.
