Ariana's POV
I don’t know how long I was running.
At some point, I stopped and dropped to the ground. I hugged my knees and rocked myself, burying my head in my lap. The smell of Derek is still on me, causing me mixed feelings. There were no tears, no sound, only guilt.
I must have fallen asleep. When I woke up, I was being carried away, a familiar scent enveloping me and giving me a sense of security. I wanted to wake up, but I couldn’t. Instead, I fell into a deep slumber.
My eyes fluttered open, but then I immediately closed them, blinded by the sun, that picked through the curtains. I felt excruciating pain. My body ached profoundly. I could feel every little thing on my skin, and it only caused more pain.
Even the bed sheets, which were covering my……
