Derek's POV
I don't know what exactly was I waiting for, from her. I don't know what was I expecting, since we barely know each other and she avoids me at every chance. But I didn't expect what happened next...
Her face was cold, colder than an iceberg. She just turned around and left, without saying a word. The gears in my head started working faster, desperately trying to find the cause, of her behavior but it was in vain. She did warn me, not to intervene but she wasn't talking about this I hoped. The feeling of sorrow washed me over.
The rest of the day wasn't better. I don't remember seeing her talking to anyone for the rest of the day. She just spend her time reading that strange book she was carrying around with her. And I speared mine, stealing glances at her.
