Stephan (POV)

I was in the kitchen making Ember a burger. I was happy she was eating. She was way too thin. That's when my phone rang. It was a number I didn't recognize, but I decided to answer it anyway. Turns out it was Ember's wolf's mate. He wanted permission to come with Alpha Jameson to retrieve Ember. He said he could heal her.

I was wondering how she ended up here. Turns out she was kidnapped while he was at a meeting Dominick called. I'm sure it had to do with the pending war with the vampires.

I needed to find out as much as I could about Ember. It felt like there was a lot I was missing.
