Devon’s POV
I wake up with a smile on my face. The evening before had been absolutely amazing. And Tara loves me. I’m positive that I heard her say that as I was drifting off to sleep. I won’t make a big deal about it, though, as that would just embarrass her. But those words will stay with me and keep me centered during the next few months.
Tara is lying beside me, asleep. I’d love nothing more than to kiss her awake, but I know she would have been up a couple times in the night to feed the pups. Being a new parent can be quite exhausting. So I just snuggle in a little closer for a while, and then I get up to shower before I quietly pack my suitcase so I’ll be ready to go after breakfast. Leo won’t want to dilly dally, as he will be anxious to get home now that the treaty ha……
