Melissa's POV

As soon as I inject Damon, I push the panic button on my phone. I do not want to be alone when he dies. I want Ethan to be with me. This is the first time I will kill someone. Damon's hand slowly moves to his neck. I can see the disbelief in his eyes as he looks at me as if he cannot believe that I have just injected him with something.

"What have you done, Melissa? What did you inject into me? I was the only person that could have saved you. Now, I will not anymore. You have betrayed me. What was in the syringe?" Damon asks as he tries to reach for me. I know if he gets a hold of me, I will die at his hands as he is aiming for my neck. I know he wants to strangle me, so I get out of his way fast. I can see he is weak from the poison I injected into his body.
