The moment Adrian grabbed her wrist, Evelyne ran.

Her heartbeat thundered in her ears, each step a desperate attempt to escape the nightmare closing in around them.

Behind her, the distant wail of security alarms echoed through the halls.

Lucas Carter had let them go—for now.

But Evelyne wasn’t naive enough to think he wouldn’t come after them soon.
