It was too late the arrow had already pierced his chest.
It was as if the world froze over, lost all its warmth and light.
I watched as his body fell hitting the ground, the sound becoming thousand of times louder than what it was. It sounded as if an atomic bomb dropped a million miles away and I was only hearing its echo.
I ran towards him striking down every opponent in my path until I got to him falling to my knees cradling him.
"Don't close your eyes, Jamie, Okay, you need to stay with me, since this war started we've been winning, didn't you promise that after this we would live in that cabin, the cabin by the lake we spent our mating ceremony together, I'll take you straight there, after its over and we'll leave Aiden and Emma with Erick and Hank you know how much they adore them and we'll go and have some alone time just us like we've been dying for this past month."

"Selena, Artemis, I'll do anything just please don't take her away, I'll do anything, is this fate punishing us for going against destiny, I won't want to be a girl anymore and I'll convince Jamie to stop transitioning to a boy. we'll be called by our proper titles please"
