Just like last month, the school sent all Year 13 students home at lunchtime in preparation for the full moon. The only issue this month was we had no idea if there was anything worth preparing for.
Myself, Sammy, Kaylee and Gabriel were by our lockers, gathering our things to head out.
‘Gabriel, do you know what’s going on tonight? As in, is the Full Moon Festival still happening?’ I asked, turning to face him on the other side of the hallway at his locker.
He sighed, shutting his locker and leaning against it, ‘It is, but it’s a lot tamer than usual. Everyone is anxious and expecting the worst to happen again, so there won’t be as many food stalls or as much entertainment like last month.’
Kaylee turned her head briefly from her locker, ‘I’m still up for heading……
