“Good morning beautiful," Dirk said softly, and brushed her curls from her face.
Today her eyes were much more alert. The swelling was definitely subsiding and the pain was less, it felt like soreness was permanently embedded within her head, so she was grateful for that small relief.
However, when she moved to nestle into him, the rest of her body groaned. She knew it had been a mistake to give in to his demands—and were they good, oh man, were they good—she needed that, so now she would have to cope with it today. With great effort she smiled back at him as she greeted him too.
“Good morning."
“How do you feel?"
She giggled and whispered, “Like a train ran over me,"
“That good, hey," he grinned, and she nodded, planting a kiss on his stubble cheek. He brushed over her skin and goose bumps imme……
