“I see, but you know it's getting worse. The water keeps on rising and your place would be uninhabitable within a couple of months, not years even."
She looked at him in horror. She knew that the water was rising, but she always thought that she had enough time to live there until she was at least dead. Not this soon.
“It can't be."
“I'm afraid it is. The reports show that the Parys region would be totally uninhabitable within a year."
“No!" she almost shouted it out, shocked at the news.
“Tanya are you okay?" she shivered and wrapped her arms around her body, the news affected her and she burst out in tears. “No." was all she could utter before tears flowed freely.
“Oh sweetheart. Come here." He wrapped his arms around her and she melted into his broad chest.
