I watched as Jackson stormed out, I couldn’t place what I had done wrong or why he took my words so personally.

I have said nothing but the truth. The female involved is a cursed wolf as investigated and as the beta of this pack, I won't watch Jackson adopt his downfall himself.

I recall how the late Alpha begged me to help his son and it was a pledge I made to him.

I blinked thrice, the remembrances still fresh like yesterday.

“Liam, Jackson is so soft. I do not know what the moon goddess has for him, but I know he can do this with you by his side.”

“I agree. I will do anything for you, but you are not going anywhere yet.” I responded.

Alpha looked at me and grinned, he patted my shoulder. “No one stays forever, Liam.” It was so weird that he spoke in parables……
