I received the King’s information telling me that he would be out of town. He implored I keep it a secret and that he was blessing my marriage.

I felt indifferent. I might have wanted the king to be there at my wedding, but I knew he needed to rest. I would not judge steadfastness by presence.

Walking up and down the room. I memorized my part once more. Today was mainly for Sarah. The only thing I had to do was to receive and acknowledge her.
