No matter how I tried to suppress my fear, I trembled. Yet, I knew if I got caught, I would be in more trouble.

I acted like I was asleep, but my eyes were half open. I could still see them in the corner. Whatever they said afterward, I didn’t hear. I made sure not to hear it.

While pretending to sleep, I needed to stay awake so I wouldn’t fall into actual sleep. What if I was thrown into a dungeon during my sleep?

I tightened my hands on my clothes. I saw a guard coming forward. It was going to make sense if I fell asleep after eating right?

I sensed him wave his hands on my face. Thankfully, I didn’t blink or open my eyes. I will give myself a pass for that.
