Shocking revelation

It's finally match day, and some changes have been made – surprising changes. I am the first to step onto the field, and I can guess the shock on Dad's face when he sees that I am up against him.

"How?!" He glares at me, hard.

I shrug. "It was the alpha's choice, not mine. He informed me of the changes right before the match."

He turns to face the alpha, who is a few feet away from us with the rest of the crowd. "Alpha! Is Jade telling the truth?!"

"Oh, yeah, it is true. I made some changes after thinking about it clearly." He smiles at Dad, and it's the most devilish smile ever. "And this match is to the death!"

Everyone gasps, and whispers erupt. One cry comes from the crowd – it's Mum's. "You can't let the two people that I love the most fight till one of them dies. I can't let my daught……
