They corner me, and I stand firm. I have to control my emotions this time, or I will go back to jail, and that's the last thing I want.

"Just how the f**k are you out of jail?" Anderson’s astonished expression says it all.

"I don't think I have to answer anything I don't want to in public."

This is Ella’s big day, and I don't want to be the one to bring a commotion here. That would be so unfair and selfish of me.

"If you will excuse me."

I turn to leave, and Anderson grabs my exposed hand. His touch burns, and we both flinch away. He hisses, and I remain quiet, I am not a p***y like him after all.

"Who do you think you are to walk away from your Alpha like that?"

"I am Jade Parker, and I am not part of your pack anymore. As far as I am concerned, I have every right."
