I was pacing around the living room while Mom was seated quietly, sipping a glass of wine. She didn’t seem bothered at all, while I haven’t been able to sleep a wink since last night, knowing Dad has gone to get the test results.
“Ain’t you bothered?” I stopped pacing and turned to Mom. She glanced at me sharply and kept drinking her wine.
“Why should I be bothered over it? If he didn’t know you were his daughter, that he was just a fool. A werewolf should be able to recognize their own pup.” She shrugged.
“What are you saying? Mom, you’re not helping. There might be a chance that I am not his daughter, and what do you plan to do about that!”
“Don’t raise your voice at me, Stacy.” She scolded, and I kept my mouth shut, and grumbled a few words under my breath.
Dad would be back soon, and ……
