“…remember Kellan said you shouldn’t go that close to him, you didn’t forget that did you?” Declan asked when we were heading home.
He was driving us home, and my eyes were on the passing scenery barely listening to what he was saying to me.
I didn’t know why I agreed to help him look for the other family he had, and even to the point of believing what he was saying to me.
The look in his eyes didn’t show that he was lying, he looked sincere, about everything that he was saying to me.
“Are you even listening, Isra, what are you thinking about?” Delcan asked and snapped his finger in front of my face, my eyes fluttered, and I looked away from the window and stared at him.
He glanced at me quickly before he turned and stared at the road.
