Chapter 40: Of Lust and Love

We switch back to Xavier's POV a bit in this chapter. So now you know what's playing across in his mind. What the driving force between many of his indecisions actually was. Anyway so the whole point of leaving most of Xavier's POV untouched was to get an actual feel of what Rose is thinking and how spectacularly she gets EVERYTHING wrong when it comes to Xavier. She was never an obligation to him, everything he's done is to maintain her comfort level because he wants the best for her. Just because Xavier wouldn't mind s*x doesn't mean virginal Rose would be comfortable doing something like that. Rose is the type of girl that would need to be involved romantically before becoming intimate and Xavier KNOWS that about her personality because he's been OBSERVING her from the start. But Rose thinks Xavier just isn't attracted to her. FYI the mate pull makes you attracted to your mate but it doesn't make you fall in LOVE. That's something two people have to do on their own.
