Ruby
School was uneventful for the pass few days and everyday, Orlando has been picking up for school and taking me home. It's Friday now and at the foodhall, eating our lunch. Some of Robin's cheer leading friends joined us, which I didn't mind cause some of them I'm cool with. While we were eating lunch, me and Robin was talking over are plan to go to the party without Orlando knowing.
"Let get over with the game plan" Robin stated.
"Ok" I said eagerly.
"Remember, you're staying over at Orlando house tonight and on Saturday evening, tell him that you're too tired and you're going to bed early. Then wait for an hour, just in case that he checks up on you and after that I'll pick you up at nine. Just make sure that you're ready dress for the party" Robin went over the plan with me with termination in her voice.
"Of course. I can't believe I'm doing this?" I said excitedly. Robin laughed at my enthusiasm.
"It's about time you think about yourself for once. You need to live a little" she said cheerfully.
"Yeah, you're right. I need to think about myself for a change" I agreed.
"When was I ever wrong, darling?" She says she run her hand through her hair with a smug look on her face.
"Ok don't get ahead of yourself" I said simply. Robin just shrugged and we continued eating and talking about random stuff. The next thing I know it, school has ended. Robin was waiting for outside the school.
"Don't forget about our plan" Robin said firmly and giving me a pointed look.
"I won't, promise" I assured her.
"Good. I'll text you when I'm outside the house tomorrow, ok?" She stated.
"Ok" I said nodding. She gave me a small smile. As I was talking to Robin, I notice Orlando leaning on his car, at the driver side. He was waving and beeping to get my attention. Robin looked over and just rolled her eyes.
"It looks like it's time for to leave" I said simply.
"He can wait at least a minute. He need to learn to have some patience. Geeze" she said in annoyance.
"I have to agree with you there" I said chuckling. Orlando kept on beeping.
"Ruby, hurry up and lets go" he yelled.
"What's the rush? You're just going to his house for the night" Robin grumbled.
"I have no Idea" I said honestly. Orlando beeped again. What is his problem?
"Ruby, lets go. Don't let me go over there and drag you" he yelled demanding. I just rolled my eyes and ignored him.
"I'm coming" I shouted out. God he's so annoying. I turned back to face Robin.
"It's looks like it's time for me to go and knowing him, he will drag me to the car" I said simply .
"He's acting like a possessive boyfriend than a friend" she said frustrated. I just shrugged. Orlando continued beeping. He made an audience now. Everyone is watching the two of us.
"Ruby, hurry up" he shouted annoyed.
"I SAID I'M COMING" I snapped loudly, making everyone looking at me like I'm a crazy person.
"I see you later, Robin" I said signing. I hugged her.
"See you later, I'll text you tomorrow, ok?" She reminded me and hugged me back. I nodded and walked over to Orlando's car. He walked over and opened the door for me. I jumped in and put on my seat belt. He closed the door and hoped in on his side and then speed off.
"Why did it took so long for you to come?" He gritted out.
"I was talking to Robin. I don't see why you need to rush me? We're just going to your place" I stated.
"I wanted to spend more time with you" he said simply.
"We spend time together all the time. I just don't see why this is any different" I said honestly.
"Not as much since you started hanging out with that Robin girl" he grumbled. Is this why he's acting this way? Cause I'm hanging out with Robin?
"What do you have against Robin? She's a good person and everyone likes her" I asked curious.
"Well I don't" he scoffed.
"You don't like anybody. You need to elaborate" I said bluntly.
"I don't like her hanging out with you. That's all" he said seriously. Wait, Is he jealous that I'm hanging out with Robin?
"Are you jealous?" I asked belief. He just scoffed.
"I don't get jealous, Ruby and quite frankly you insult me" he said and acting like I bruised his ego.
"Then stop acting like you are then. You need to grow up, Orlando" I snapped.
"Excuse me?" He gasped.
"You're excused" I said dismissively. Orlando slammed the breakes, making the car screeched. I would of flown out of the windshield if I wasn't wearing my seat belt.
"WHAT THE HELL, ORLANDO. ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL US?" yelled.
"Watch your tone, Ruby or else" he warned.
"Or else what? Huh? What are you going to do?" I snapped. What gotten into him?
"Don't push me, Ruby. I'm in no mood for your games" he gritted out.
"Games? GAMES? I'm not the one who's acting like a lunatic" I shouted ferociously. Orlando was red face with rage. Believe or not, this isn't the first time seeing him like this. Most people would be afraid when he's like this but not me. It doesn't faze me one bit cause I'm use to it.
"I'm not acting like a lunatic? I just want to spend time with you. Just the two of us. Is it that much to ask for? " he stated seriously.
"I have no problem spending time with you, Orlando. Just stop being so over protective brother. All you got to do is just asked" I said sincerely. He closed his eyes and took deep breath few times, then opened his eyes and he looked at me.
"I'm sorry, Ruby. You're right that I was acting like a lunatic and I should of just asked to hang out" he said softly and looking at me remorse.
"It's ok. You're forgiven" I said sincerely. He gave me a warm smile.
"You mean the world to me Ruby and you're the last person I ever want to have a fight with and hurt you. I love you. You know that right?" he said sincerely.
"I know. I love you too you big oaf" I replied caringly. Giving him a sincere smile.
"Lets go get our marathon on. I brought your favourite snacks" he said sincerely. Wiggling his eye brows. I laughed.
"And it would be just the two of us as my parents are out of the country and my sister went with them" he added absence mindedly and he started driving to his place.
*************************************************
It's Saturday evening, me and and Orlando just finished watching a horror movie.
"I don't get how a person is scared of a doll? You could easily at run it. If I was them I just beat it to death" Orlando said simple.
"I agree but rather than kicking it to death, I would chopped it into pieces and burn it, personally" I said bluntly. Orlando was looking at me in horror.
"What? Why you looking at me like that? Do I have something on my face?" I asked as I looked at my reflection on my phone. He just shook his head.
"I forget how dark your mind is" he said in disbelief.
"Don't be so dramatic. I'm just saying how it is. It makes sense anyway. You don't want it to come back to life, would you?" I said dismissively.
"And people say I'm crazy" he mumbled under his breath. I just shrugged. It's was seven fifty in the evening. It's time to put my plan in motion.
"I think I have a early night. I guess the watching all those movies got to me" I said as I was stretching and yawning for good measure.
"Are you sure? We could watch one more movie" Orlando suggested. I shook my head.
"Nah. I'll go to bed. We can watch the rest of the movies tomorrow" I said sincerely.
"How about I order take out before you go to bed?" He asked.
"No, I'm too tired to eat and we ate a lot of junk food today so I'm full" I reasoned. Orlando was looking at me closely.
"Well if you're sure then I'll let you rest. I'll check on you in a bit" he said sincerely.
"Ok, night"
"Night Ruby and sweet dreams" he said softly as he gave me a bear hug. I hugged him back. I headed to my room and yes I have my own personal room when I stay over. My room next to Orlando's room. He likes us to be close when ever we need each other.
Orlando's parents are wealthy, like super wealth. I'm talking about the could feed the whole world and still have money left over to pass down to their great great grandchildren. They own many businesses around town but don't ask what businesses they own cause I didn't pay much attention about it. They are also sponsors of our school so that's is how Orlando gets away with things in school. The headmaster doesn't want to risk loosing money from his parents. They live in a mansion where there's ten ensuite bedroom, a large kitchen, a bar room, a gaming room, a pool, a basketball court, a tennis court, a dining room, two living rooms, a large garage with ten cars and one hundred and fifty acres of land. Oh and they also own a wine yard, so when I say they are wealthy, they are wealthy.
Orlando's parents welcomed me with open arms when Orlando introduced me to them and they treated me as family ever since. They told I'm their second daughter.
Once I'm made it to my room, I got to work of getting myself ready for the party. I put on my party clothes on. It was a black dress that stop above the knees with a golden belt that has a butterfly in the middle. I brought my black, five inch heels with a thin gold chain that goes around the ankles. I didn't bother with make up. I'll do it when get into Robin's car. I put on my night gown over my dress and put my shoes under the bed, and just in time too cause Orlando walked in without bothering knocking. He never knocks.
"You know for once, you could try knocking. I could of been naked" I grumbled. He just rolled his eyes,
"Why? You don't have nothing to hide and we seen each other naked many times so what's the point of knocking" he said dismissively. I huffed but it's true that we seen each other naked but still, a girl need her privacy.
"Anyway, I'm here to check up on you and to tell you that I'll be occupied for the night as we're not watching movies for the rest of the night" he said simply.
"You got a booty call coming?" I teased.
"Yeah something like that so I'll be busy for the night" he shrugged.
"Do you want anything before you go to sleep?" He asked.
"No, I'm good thanks"
"Cool. I'll leave you to sleep then. Sweet dreams, Ruby" he said and kissed me on the forehead.
"Sweet dreams Orlando" I replied sweetly. He walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. My phone vibrated as soon as Orlando left. I went over to check it and saw I had a message from Robin. It must be nine already.
To Ruby: I'm outside the house. Are you ready?
From Robin.
To Robin: Yes, I'm ready. Be there in a sec.
From Ruby.
To Ruby: awesome, see you in a bit :)
From Robin.
I put my phone in my bag, took off my night gown and picked up my shoes. I opened the window and climbed down by the drain pipe. Then I walked around the front of the house. I saw Robin's car at the entrance gate so walked towards the gate and climbed over it. Luckily the gate wasn't too high for me to climb over. I got into Robin's car and she started to drive off.
"Are you ready to put your groove on, girl?" Robin asked excitedly.
"Yep. I'm ready to show off my dance moves on the dance floor" I said as I shimmer. Robin laughed at my dancing moves.
"That my girl. That's the spirit" she responded cheerfully and we headed off to the party. I can't wait and I have a good feeling that it's going to be good.
