"He’s trash. He’s one of those who change women faster than they change their underwear," Gyda said, sitting across from me and looking back at Alexi before looking at me. I wanted her to explain why she said that, while Lex’s words about Alexi being a lying cheater came to mind again. He told me that he kissed Gyda because he freaked out about us. Did he lie to me? Was it more than that?

"I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that. It was not my place," she said, but I stopped her and asked her if he had lied to me about the two of them.

"No, he didn’t lie about us. He hasn’t said a word to me since that night," she replied.

"Then why are you saying he’s a womanizer?"

"I shouldn't have said anything, Alafia," she said. But before I knew it, I grabbed her hand……
