My blôod burned in my veins with anger that felt too hot to be contained within. And it didn’t cool down on the way from her college to the apartment where now I laid her down on her bed. There was a trail of blood coming from the inside of her thigh and I wanted to inspect it, take care of that wound but I didn’t want to do it when she was unconscious. She had a knife in her hand that she refused to let go even when she was unconscious, so I had to carefully take it out of her tight grip when I had put her in the backseat of the car.
