ZURICH
It was too silent.
And my instincts told me something wasn’t right.
I stood up from the sofa and checked the windows in the living room before I unlocked the front door and checked the corridor outside. There was no one, but I knew my instincts were never wrong it was the reason I was still alive. Slipping out my gûn, I made my way to the stairwell and checked it too as I had sent Danish back to his apartment when Kat's friends had come unannounced.
When I didn't find anything, but there was still a nagging sensation that told me something was wrong, I quickly went back inside and made my way to the bedrooms. I checked the window at the end of the corridor before coming to stand in front of her locked door.
