Dev blinked, rising from his seat. As Shikha's gaze fell upon Ranjana's photo, her anger surged, and she angrily flung his mobile to the ground.
This display of rage from Shikha was not unfamiliar to Dev. However, this time, as he faced her, he contemplated how to navigate the imminent barrage of questions. Shikha approached Dev, and the air hung heavy with tension.
"Dev, what the hell is happening with Mrs. Goyal?" Shikha seethed, her anger evident in her tone.
"Nothin', alright?" Dev avoided her gaze, shoving his hands deep into his pockets.
"Dev..." Shikha's fury intensified as she clenched his collar in her fist.
"What's the deal between you and Mrs. Goyal? How long has this been goin' on? You better spill the beans. Is Rahi... is she your damn daughter?" Shikha fired off the questions, ……
