Stuart had Edie safely in his arms and she could feel his body temperature through his shirt, She could no longer hold back her tears. Tears burned her eyes and her lower lip trembled. Her body collapsed at once when she felt Stuart’s strength.
She was supposed to be grateful for what he just did for her, but when she opened her mouth, gratefulness turned into disappointment, “Why, why did you come so late? I was so scared…no would help me…” Stuart tightened his embrace and his heart ached with pity for her, “Sorry, I am so sorry, it’s all my fault.”
