ACCEPTED?

As I needed more time to think if I wanted to stay with her, I decided to change the topic, "Did you call me here to apologise?"

I thought that she was going to lash out, but she didn't. Instead, she turned back to look at me and asked, "I didn't behave appropriately. I was indeed in the wrong."

Since I was saddened to even think about what had occurred, I couldn't find the appropriate words to say to her. Instead, I asked, "What did you mean when you said you were rejecting me?"

I thought I'd take a chance and ask her the thing that bothered me. I wanted to make sure if she recognised me as her mate or not. She, however, wouldn't say a word. 

Just when I placed my hand on her shoulder and was about to ask if she knew she was my mate, someone called out to her.
