Chapter Fifty-Seven: What If's

IT turns out that I slept in Alfred's car while we were on our way to the hospital.

While I was in the hospital bed, I had just woken up when I heard Alfred and Sir Lucas arguing.

I decided to close my eyes again so that I could be more alert and also that I could know what they were talking about.

"Lucas, how long are you going to do this to Scarlet? I'm hurt by what you're doing to her," Alfred said.

"Tss, are we going to argue again now, Alfred? You know the reason why I have to avoid her. This is not the right time for me to settle down."

"But what about her? Soon, you two will be having a child. Lucas, are our plans more important to you now than-"

"Yes our plan is still more important! Because before they came, I had everything planned. And you know yours……
