Aurora met Mrs. Charlotte’s eyes from across the table and said, “We are talking about my mother here – my mother! If there is something wrong, then you should tell me. I am her daughter and I deserve to know!”
Seeing the seriousness in Aurora’s eyes, Mrs. Charlotte realized that she could not hide the truth; in fact, it would actually be wrong to withhold the truth. With tears in her eyes, she said, “My lady, your mother… She is not fine…”
