I walked towards the box containing a pristine, high-end snow outfit: pants, jacket, gloves, snow glasses, boots—all in a fashionable bright magenta—nothing about our marriage, wedding, and after activities were conventional.
We married in an almost empty venue, but we were dressed to the nines. I am sure the dress I wore was expensive, an exclusive design. Leon wore a tuxedo, and I could tell by the fit that it was also a costly tux, maybe a Hugo Boss. He spent tons of money on altar and venue decorations that no one would see or enjoy except us. He was spoiling me rotten with things that many would consider eccentricities. A rushed wedding should not look like what we had, yet here we are.
"Let's change." He pecked my lips, and I nodded.
