Chapter 47 Apology

Amber's POV:

The next day, when I went to school, the photos that had once troubled me were actually gone from my locker, which gave me a long-lost sense of relief.

Lucy greeted me and handed me a flyer. "Soccer match. Will you go watch with me?"

I remembered that August had also invited me before and nodded happily. "Of course. My pleasure."

I stood at the edge of the noisy stadium, the deafening cheers ringing in my ears. Lucy led me to a spot so close it was almost right behind the players.

I was curious how she managed to get the seats, and Lucy revealed it was just a matter of money.

Alright, that made everything reasonable.

While waiting for the match to start, I idly observed everything around me, and inadvertently, I saw the girls who had locked me in the restroom walking towards me.
