“Hello?”
My best friend’s voice sounded on the other side of the phone. I looked up to find Maddox's fingers playing with mine on the kitchen countertop and Dominic looking at me, waiting.
“Hello…”
“Brenna? Is that you?” She started to sound worried. “Are you okay? Has something happened?”
“No. No, I am alright, everything is fine.” I replied.
“Oh…” Then, “So, whose number is this? And, why did I see you with Maddox?”
This was the difficult part.I had no idea, how would she take the news of me being with Maddox, and staying at his house. “Well… I— yo—”
“Don’t even try to lie to me, Bree.” Kiara warned.
“Actually, I am at Maddox's house.”
“What?!! Why? Did he take you there forcefully? I swear, I’ll bash his head in.”
I cringed and found both the brothers’ gazes locked on me. “Par……
