Those were the last words Kaia heard from Vaugn before she stormed out of the room. All she felt was pain and anger. She knew her life wasn't already the happiest but she wondered what she did to deserve such agony.
That memory a few months ago still haunts her.
She looked at herself in the mirror all dolled up and ready to go. Never have she imagined to ever live a life of luxury and beauty. The Kaia she once was is locked up inside of her all weak and helpless. Now she is a strong woman who is capable of a lot of things.
She secured the dagger strapped on her legs that hid behind her luxurious skirt. She would never know what would happen at the party anyway. She heard a knock in the door following Yzander's soft, deep voice, "You ready?"
With a final glance at the mirror she opened the door meeting Yzander. He was smiling. The smile that any girl would fall for. She smiled back accepting his hand as they walked out off her hotel room and went to the ball room. The place was decorated in fancy visuals that only the rich people can afford going. She looked around once more but then stopped at the sight of a person.

"She's calling me," nakatulalang sabi ni Vaugn.
He unbelievingly stared at his phone, staring at Suri's face on his caller ID. I put down the popcorn that I was holding and turned to him.
"Should I answer it?" Tanong niya sa akin.
Umiling ako. "No. Baka isiping atat ka."
"But what if it's important? What if it's an emerge……
