"Yasmyn Lorraine? As in, The Future Queen of Alphas?" his voice was trembling by the end. I stood in front of him, with my arms crossed over my chest. "Yes. Yasmyn Lorraine, The Future Queen of Alphas. And you just rejected me," I shook my head at him in disbelief, also trying to suppress the tears pooling in my eyes. I did not ask to be the Queen and yet, under different circumstances I became one. And with that, I also faced the rejection. It's okay. I can always show him what he missed. In ways far more entertaining than any other.

The other side of the bed was cold again by the time I woke up. Brendan is once again up early and today, only he knows what he is doing.
I did my business and walked outside to a corridor full of guards. The guards I didn't appoint for my safety.
