“NO!” I screamed making the closest she-wolves to me jump in fright and I darted to the door as shocked faces looked on after me. I clutched my side as it burned with pain but I ignored it, just like I ignored someone calling my name as I ran to the front doors. The wolves parted for me and soon I found myself outside behind the crowed that surrounded my daughter, Talia, and her best friend, Jane. Panic flooded my body as I shoved myself through the shocked onlookers as Talia took on their men with Jane caught in the middle. What was that bloody girl thinking and why was she here? I managed to make it to the front when I heard Jane scream out in pain and saw just in time when Talia broke out of the two warrior wolves hold, making them stumble backwards. My heart stuttered when Talia started to jerk, and I knew that Nera was close to taking control and I couldn’t let that happen. Not here.
I ran forward and commanded in my alpha voice: “STOP.” My single command echoed in the circle around us, and everyone fell silent. “That’s enough!” I spoke up, still in my alpha voice and glared in everyone in turn. Talia looked at me as her eyes shifted from yellow to blue and her eyes darted back to Jane. Or more like at the young man that was still holding on to Jane. I knew I had to get Talia’s attention before she does something she’ll regret, which I doubted, but I had to try and defuse the situation. “Talia? Look at me.” I say but she doesn’t. Her eyes are still fixated on the boy but at least she stayed where she was when I commanded earlier. “NERA!” I growled and this seems to get her attention as her head whips to me with a glare. She might be stronger than me, but I was still her alpha. Her mother. I stepped closer slowly as I held her gaze and I was relieved to see her eyes were only yellow now which meant that she was getting herself under control, but I still needed Jane out of that boy’s hold otherwise her anger would just flare up again.
