I cried on and off as I drove to Matt's pack. It was late afternoon when I pulled up to the gate and was greeted by a friendly face.
'Hi Roberta, I was not expecting to see you back so soon. Does the alpha know you are coming?'
'No, it was a last-minute change of plans. Could I go in?'
