My mouth went dry as soon as those words left Maya’s lips and I looked over at Kate.
She looked absolutely devastated. She wasn’t crying, but the helpless expression on her face and her slouched shoulders were enough to break my heart. I pulled her into a hug and she sighed, resting her head on my chest.
“Is there something you can do to fix it?” I asked.
Like hell I was going to allow that Norena witch to snatch my mate away from me. Not when I’d just found her. Kate meant the world to me, and I wasn’t letting her go.

Within hours, our room had become magical. I mean, it looked like a Christmas shop threw up in it, but it was beautiful.
Murtagh and I were having dinner in bed, with the Chinese food I had asked for; Felicia had been very happy to challenge her cooking skills with eastern food, and got us dragon clouds……
