Isobel was happy to stay in London with her brother, Charles, while their cruel father Edward, a Lycan King, set up a new estate in the American colonies. But when their father orders that Isobel join him, she has no choice but to follow his command and be married off for his political advantage. Arriving in Boston though, Isobel finds the one thing that could ruin her father's plan: a werewolf guard in Edward's employ that happens to be her mate.

James has always hated the Lycan royalty who he knows to be conceited, arrogant and callous, but working for Edward Alder was the only way to keep his younger brother fed. The last thing he expected was to be mated to Edward's Lycan daughter, and even if he did want her-which he most assuredly does not- a relationship with her is forbidden.
